Matt Palmer is an English filmmaker from Birmingham, UK, residing in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is known for writing and directing feature-length horror and thriller films, Fear Street: Prom Queen (2025) and Calibre (2018). The latter film about a hunting trip gone-wrong was called "a genuine nail-biter" by prominent horror author, Stephen King. Palmer has also written and directed a number of short films Daylight Hole (2006), Island (2007), and Just Before Dawn (2010).
