Biography

Matt Shapira is an internationally recognized artist and filmmaker from the United States. Trained by his father David, to become a talent agent, Shapira left the representation world, to follow his calling and passion for telling stories through cinema and art.

A muralist and painter known for his Elephant themed art, Shapira brings a unique Post Impressionist style of tone, brushstroke, and color to his pieces. His murals span the globe, and can be seen in such places as India, Nepal, Thailand, France, England, Wales, and Zambia! Shapira has continued to travel, public speak, and use his art to educate and bring awareness for conservation of animals. Notably the majestic African and Indian Elephants.

As a filmmaker, he's best known for directing Faith based films starring David A.R. White, "Nothing is impossible," "Love on the Rock," and "Finding Love in Quarantine." In addition, Shapira is known for his first film, a noir thriller titled "Disappearance," as well as the Lionsgate comedy "Swing of Things," starring Luke Wilson.

Whether he is producing, directing or painting, Shapira focuses on feel good, light hearten stories, with an aim to uplift and inspire the viewer(s). His career has taken him all over the world, introducing him to wonderful leaders in Conservation and Film! It is with great humility that he gets to do what he loves and meet and work alongside some of the most talented humans of this generation!
