He holds a postgraduate degree in screen acting from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, one of the UK's leading institutions, as well as a background in classical acting from the Academy of Drama Arts in his hometown of Zagreb.
Although his passion for the arts was initially delayed by his studies in law-following a family tradition-he eventually left the legal field to pursue his true calling.
From intense dramatic roles to comedic ones, he's demonstrated a wide range of talent. His foundation in drama was built at the Croatian National Theatre.
His comedic skill was first showcased in
Instruktor (2010), a mockumentary series he starred in and co-wrote with
Nevio Marasovic.
His ability to mix both drama and comedy earned him recognition when he won Best Actor at the Mostar Film Festival for his role in
Ministry of Love (2016), a dramedy directed by
Pavo Marinkovic.
With over fifty film and TV roles to his name, he has earned recognition for his remarkable ability to transform, often appearing almost unrecognizable from one project to the next.
In 2023, he received another international award for his leading role in
Po tamburi (2021), directed and written by
Stanislav Tomić, at the IFFNY in New York.
He is married to actress
Jelena Jovanova, and together they have two sons.
