Sallie Nicole Hotch is an award-caliber Los Angeles-based hairstylist and proud member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 706, the Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists Guild. With decades of experience across film and television, she is recognized for her creative versatility and her ability to design character-driven looks that enhance storytelling on screen.
Sallie has worked on numerous high-profile television productions, including the Emmy-nominated series Ahsoka for Disney, where she served as Key Hairstylist working with actors Ray Stevenson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Genevieve O'Reilly. She also contributed to the Emmy-nominated The Mandalorian, styling guest stars including Simon Kassianides. Her science-fiction credits continue with the Emmy-nominated Star Trek: Picard, where she led the background hair department, overseeing large-scale crowd and alien character styling.
Her television career also includes serving as Department Head on the Hulu sci-fi series The Orville, where she created distinctive looks for actors including Jessica Szohr and Annie Winters as well as numerous alien characters. Additional series credits include Wisdom of the Crowd, Those Who Can't, Stitchers, Bones, and Secrets and Lies.
Sallie also spent multiple seasons as Department Head on the Emmy-nominated hit reality competition So You Think You Can Dance on Fox Broadcasting Company, where she designed and executed signature hairstyles for contestants and host Cat Deeley across Seasons 5-12.
Her additional television work spans a variety of genres, including series such as Battle Creek, Vegas, Franklin & Bash, Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, The Sarah Silverman Program, Privileged, and Women's Murder Club.
In addition to her extensive television work, Sallie has built a strong feature film résumé with credits including Freakier Friday, The Gift, 22 Jump Street, This Is the End, and A Better Life. Known for her collaborative approach and attention to detail, Sallie continues to work across major studio productions and independent projects, helping bring memorable characters to life through thoughtful and innovative hairstyling.
