Marcus Nel-Jamal Hamm is an award-winning filmmaker, Actor, Producer, Writer, and Director. Born in Washington D.C., Marcus emerged onto the entertainment scene through the back-breaking and the body-slamming world of Professional Wrestling under the moniker of Marcus Jordan having performed both independently and nationally as a multi-title holding main event performer under legends such as WWE Hall of Famers Rikishi and the late RockyJohnson.
Marcus later transitioned over towards acting and his career launched almost instantly beginning with a feature role on two of the final episodes of HBO's "The Wire" as Officer Marcus. He later co-starred with Book of Mormon star Josh Gad as Lonnie in the award-winning comedy series Gigi, Almost American. He's continued to consistently gain momentum working as a television, theatrical, and commercial actor as well as being trained in stunt fighting for film and television.
He has also produced, written, and directed several successful projects under his production company Urban Renaissance Entertainment, and has recently gained international success after creating award-winning hit cinematic fan films, The Black League of Superheroes, followed by Triggered, Triggered 2.0, and Triggered, the Final Cut, which he wrote, produced and co-directed while portraying the iconic anti-hero Blade, having won over 60 film festival awards.
In 2022, he co-starred, co-produced, and has a writing credit for the award winning thriller, Heaven's Revenge, I Love You to Death which also stars Ernest Harden Jr. of The Jefferson's and White Men Can't Jump.
