Joe Lydon was born and raised in Galway, Ireland. His debut leading role in a feature film was in 2013’s "The Randomers"-a romantic movie written without words, directed by Graham Jones (How To Cheat on the Leaving Cert).
Following that he played ‘Rourke’ in Lance Daly’s "Black 47" and most recently can be seen on TV in "The 12 Dates of Christmas".
In late 2025, Joe stepped behind the camera for the first time, to write, produce and direct Under the Moonlight. A short film about the highs and lows of being an actor. He also starred as the lead character, Alain.
