Mustafa Speaks is an American actor, writer, and producer known for his commanding presence and grounded, emotionally complex performances. A native of the Booker T. Washington Projects in Jersey City, New Jersey, he brings a rare blend of grit, intellect, and authenticity to his work both on screen and behind the camera.
He stars as "Boss" in the Paramount+ hit series Landman, and is widely recognized for his roles in All American, Netflix’s Seven Seconds, and Paramount+’s Joe Pickett. His additional credits include NCIS, S.W.A.T., Lethal Weapon, Jane the Virgin, Revenge, and Pretty Little Liars.
A graduate of Hampton University with a B.S. in Marine & Environmental Science, Speaks was internationally published for his research on shark behavior before transitioning into entertainment-an uncommon foundation that continues to inform his disciplined, character-driven approach to storytelling.
