Joseph Baird is a Native Oklahoman and Italian/American. His television appearances include SCORPION, CRIMINAL MINDS and daytime soap operas. The film Joseph wrote, produced, and starred in - BEN & ARA - won the 2016 Best Diaspora Film at the African Movie Academy Awards. He was nominated for BEST ACTOR in the US Hollywood International Film Festival for his role as BEN. Joseph also appeared as sex-worker Blake Savage in the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival selection KING COBRA.
His theater work includes roles as Tybalt in ROMEO & JULIET, Sebastian in TWELFTH NIGHT, and even Juliet in a nutty production of THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (Abridged). Joseph graduated from The University of Oklahoma where he studied classics and archaeology and from St. Thomas University in Miami with a law degree. At OU he traveled abroad to Israel where he dug with the Caesarea Maritime expedition team and learned Hebrew. In his spare time Joseph likes to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Gracie Academy and is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. In 2006 he moved to LA to pursue his passion for acting full time.
