In 2021, Waleed Bedour proudly earned an MFA in film directing from Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. His short film "Hawawshi" screened at over 25 festivals worldwide, including Dances With Films:LA and San Jose International Short Film Festival. His thesis film, "Dead Winter," made its festival debut in Oct., 2025. Immediately following his graduation, he joined the faculty at the New York Film Academy (NYFA), where he instructed courses in filmmaking, directing, and production.
Bedour holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering earned in 1998. This foundation in engineering paved the way for his remarkable artistic journey. In 2004, under the mentorship of Ra’afat El Meehi, he began his directing career with a diploma in filmmaking.
Bedour boldly ventured into directing, creating music videos, commercials, and short films that gained recognition at prestigious global festivals. His journey brought him to New York, where he continues to make an impact.
He has collaborated with major brands such as Samsung, Danone, McDonald's, and Hardees, showcasing his creative vision.
Waleed's current projects include two captivating feature films: "Green Paradise" and "The Desert Knight."
