Biography

Robert A. Daly is a prominent American media executive who spent nearly five decades leading some of the entertainment industry's most influential organisations.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Daly began his career at CBS in 1955 as an office boy, eventually rising to become President of Entertainment. In 1980, he transitioned to Warner Bros., where he served as Chairman and co-CEO for nearly 20 years. Under his leadership, the studio achieved 16 consecutive years of record earnings and produced hundreds of major motion pictures, including Best Picture winners like Chariots of Fire and Unforgiven, and iconic television series such as Friends and ER.

Following his tenure at Warner Bros., Daly served as the Chairman and CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1999 to 2004. He remains active in the industry as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the American Film Institute (AFI) and a non-executive advisor to Paramount Pictures.

Daly is also recognised for his extensive philanthropic work, notably serving as the Chairman of Save the Children. He is married to the award-winning songwriter Carole Bayer Sager.
