The Darts

The Darts was a British band of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Its music took inspiration from the doo-wop music of the 1950s, with many of their recordings being cover versions of songs from the late 1950s and early 1960s. The band initially consisted of four vocalists and five musicians. The first line-up consisted of Bob Fish, Den Hegarty (real name: Denis Hegarty), Rita Ray, Griff Fender (real name: Ian Collier), Horatio Hornblower (real name: Nigel Trubridge), Thump Thomson (real name: Iain Thomson), George Currie, Hammy Howell (real name: William Howell) and John Dummer. Later members included Duncan Kerr, Keith Gotheridge, James (Jimmy) Compton and Rob Davis.
