Ella Cannon is an accomplished Australian actress, director and producer whose career began with a breakout role on the iconic TV series Neighbours. Since relocating to North America, she has built a dynamic presence in the entertainment industry with standout
performances in acclaimed projects such as the multi-award-winning Netflix original Trees of Peace, Hulu’s Letterkenny, CW fan- favorite iZombie and FOX’s Murder in a Small Town. Trained by the Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Los Angeles, Ella has a nuanced
approach to character development and a deep understanding of powerful, genre-spanning storytelling.
Beyond acting, Ella has produced and starred in multiple screenplays of her own making and co-founded Midnight Madhouse Productions, a company focused on bringing real stories of women’s strength throughout history to the screen. She has also now stepped into directing with her debut being the all Canadian comedy pilot 'The Yacht Club', where Ella brings her multifaceted industry experience to a series that explores intergenerational dynamics and the complexities of community. Her on-set philosophy centers around the idea that filmmaking should not only be meaningful, but also enjoyable, inclusive, and driven by a shared sense of purpose.
