Biography

Matthew Peter Murphy never believed he would be an actor. He always dreamed of conquering his stage fright, but never believed that he would. From a very young age he enjoyed writing and used that as his creative outlet. It was his painful shyness and introverted nature that made it easier to tell himself that acting was not in his future. After graduating from college with a degree in journalism, and working for several years behind a desk, he realized he was not meant for the 9-5 lifestyle. He started off working as an extra in New York City and would skip work to do so, he worked on a sketch comedy show that maybe only 20 people watched, and performed on stage two times (once in New Jersey and once in New York City). Matthew knew he needed a drastic change and decided it was in his best interest to move to Los Angeles. At the age of 28 he took the journey west...
