Biography

Dimitrios Katsantonis is an adventure-seeking, storytelling nomad who now spends most of his time in Los Angeles and London.

His professional background includes membership in the Bar of England & Wales, the Middle Temple Inn of Court, and the New York State Bar. He worked in investment finance across the globe, including a stint in Afghanistan related to USAID civilian infrastructure reconstruction projects. He is a licensed derivatives trader (Eurex) and certified in Fund Management (CISI), and Islamic Finance (CISI/Ecole Supérieure des Affaires/Banque du Liban).

In 2004, he co-founded Sanctorum Pictures, a Santa Monica (CA)- based company. The company provided microloans to micro-budget productions (less than $100k) for long and short formats aimed at online distribution through the nascent, at the time, web-based content platforms. That same year, Sanctorum Pictures was the biggest sponsor of the revived Beverly Hills Film Festival. Ahead of its time in its aspirations and business model, it folded in late 2005.

In 2009, he graduated cum laude from Met Film School, based in Ealing Studios (UK), with an advanced diploma in filmmaking. During that industrious time, he was trained in all the disciplines of filmmaking, including directing, editing, producing, and acting. Lipizzaner (2009), a short action film he wrote, produced, and directed as a student, won various accolades.

In 2015, he co-founded TerraMagma Pictures, based in Burbank (CA). He left in 2017 to write and produce the star-studded, award-winning, independent feature Echoes of the Past (2021). He has several projects at various stages of development, including two novels, "Chiaroscuro" and "Arcania Lost: The Forbidden Chronicles of Alchemy and War", the tech noir horror anthology "Dark Codex", & the novellas "The Moonlighter of Yesteryears", "Arpege", and "The Extinction Protocols" aimed at publication.

In late 2025, he founded The Gothic Factory, a specialty horror label with a mission to create the first-ever interconnected horror IP ecosystem across multi-platform formats, including features, series, and microdramas.

He often consults on story and script development.
