Studied at New Actors Workshop under Mike Nichols, George Morrison, and their amazing faculty. Also, under Paul Sills, Carol Sills, Aretha Sills, the Sills family, and their renowned faculty at Paul Sills’ Wisconsin Theater Game Center. Some credits include: "Marty Supreme" (Josh Safdie, Oscar nominated film), "Mr. Irrelevant" (Jonathan Levine, acting alongside David Corenswet), "The Accompanist" (Zach Woods, feature film directorial debut and Tribeca 2026 world premiere), "Lump" (Alexandre Rockwell), "Nobody Wants to Shoot a Woman" (Kery Ann Enright, acting alongside Lev Gorn). Lead actor in "A Brief History of the Bubblegum" (Blaine Fuller, Cannes Film Festival 2023). Lead actor in "Collection Day" (Blaine Fuller) in which Johnny plays two roles. Also played two roles in "Deja-vu: The Conundrum of Cassie" (Cybela Clair). Johnny also was directed by Alex Ross Perry (Courtney Barnett music video). Awards include, Winner of Best Actor awards: Gold Award at Mindfield Film Festival - ABQ 2017 for "à la mémoire de Lune". Grand Jury Award for "Love Lives in a Void" at American Filmatic Arts Awards 2019. Best Supporting Performance for "Blue" at HorrorHound Film Festival 2023. Honorable Mention (Best Actor) for "Janga" at The People's Film Festival 2023. Best Acting in an ensemble for "Oscar Zulu" at The Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival (November 2023).
