Aidan Laprete is a Japanese-American actor, born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He began acting in his pre-teens, first appearing in a few short films and commercials. He moved to California in 2015. On TV, he is best known for his role starring in Amazon's
The Wilds (2020), portraying Henry Tanaka. He was recently seen in Hulu's
Swiped (2025) for director Rachel Lee Goldenberg, which premiered at TIFF. He will soon be seen in Bobby Farrelly's
Driver's Ed (2025), which also premiered at TIFF. He played Max Wilcox in HBO Max's
The Pitt (2025), as well as appearing in roles on shows including Peacock's
The Paper (2025) as Wesley Holzwanger, TBS'
Chad (2021) as Kevin,
Everything's Gonna Be Okay (2020), and
Adam Devine's House Party (2013). He can be seen in the feature,

In addition to acting, he is an award-winning singer-songwriter and music producer who releases music under the name Laprete. Formerly known as Aidan James, he was a YouTube sensation at the age of 8, with over 20+ million views earning global recognition. He has been featured in publications like ABC News, HBO, and Good Morning America. Aidan has toured the US, Tahiti, and Asia. In his teen years, his accolades included performing at the Pro Bowl for 30,000+ people, playing songs with Mick Fleetwood, writing music for the HBO series "Saving My Tomorrow", and performing for the prestigious human rights organization The Elders. He continues to release music under the name Laprete and produces/co-writes for other artists.
