Juan has been actively working in both film and theater. He is known for his work in productions like Red, White & Royal Blue on Amazon, Disney's Encanto, What/If and Tales of the City on Netflix. He has also received accolades for his stage work, including a Lucille Lortel Award for his performance in Transfers and the Drama Desk's Sam Norkin Award for Off-Broadway excellence.
In 2022, Juan led Matthew Lopez's Tony Award winning play The Inheritance at The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. In 2025, he received the Drama Desk Special Award for his work in the hit play Danger & Opportunity by Ken Urban.
