Biography

Jasmine Curtis-Smith is an award-winning actress, host, brand endorser, and ambassador. Born in Australia to a Filipino mother and Australian father, she spent her primary school years in the Philippines and completed her secondary schooling in Melbourne, Australia.

Acting and performing was always of natural interest to her-joining a theater school club in grade 4, auditioning and doing TV commercials alongside her sister, and later on performing at talent shows in high school as well as in school plays and musicals during her years at Loyola College. She played the lead in the school play *Away* in her final year at school while balancing final exams and an ongoing blossoming acting career in the Philippines.

Early on in her acting career, she bagged her first Best Supporting Actress award from the 2013 Cinemalaya Film Festival for her performance in the critically acclaimed Hannah Espia film *Transit*. In the years following, she cemented her screen prowess when she portrayed Alex in *Baka Bukas*, winning a Best Actress award from the 2016 CinemaOne Originals Film Festival, and earned another set of Best Supporting Actress nominations for her portrayal of Abi in *Siargao* (2017).

She made waves internationally with *In My Mother's Skin*, a folk horror film that premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and the International Film Festival Rotterdam before its global release on Amazon Prime Video.

In 2024, Jasmine continues to expand her filmography with a diverse range of roles. She starred as Glenda in the romantic drama *A Glimpse of Forever* and delivered a gripping performance in the BFF dramedy *3 Days and 2 Nights in Poblacion*. She also starred in the satirical crime drama *Moneyslapper*, which premiered at the QCinema Film Festival, earning her a nomination for Best Actress.

Additionally, she headlined the hit TV series *Asawa Ng Asawa Ko*, a gripping drama that captivated audiences for nearly a year. The show explored themes of love, betrayal, and identity, showcasing Jasmine's depth as an actress in a complex and emotionally charged role.
