Biography

Alex K. Rojas (Alex Kruz, SAG-AFTRA name) was born in Jersey City, NJ to Ecuadorian-American parents. His ancestry is of primarily of Quechua, Nahua, and Mayan indigenous roots. Was adopted into the Mescalero Apache Tribe by Native American Martial Arts Hall of Famer Robert Redfeather after completing his instructor certification for military and law enforcement in manhunting, tracking, and hand-to-hand combat. Provided training for Army officers and Green Berets for engagements in Afghanistan as well as consulting/training on various movie and TV productions (Person of Interest, The Americans).

Theatrical work includes playing the Zorro character for Zorro Productions (owners of the brand) for live performances in Los Angeles involving sword and horsemanship after Antonio Banderas left the role and playing a Native American construction worker opposite Bruce Willis in "God Steeling" for theatrical productions by Creative Artist Agency before he retired.

2018 nominated for an Emmy alongside director/producer colleague, Alex Lora for best military segment (CUNY TV), 2021 nominated for an Emmy and won alongside director/producer colleague, Alex Lora for COVID-19 segment (CUNY TV).

Received Congressional Award for Humanitarianism 2018 from New York State's Chuck Shumer for his work fighting sex trafficking in the golden triangle and Nepal/India border.

His first short alongside Alex Lora as a director in 2016, "Parivara" premiered at the Cambridge Film Festival, and garnered the children of the Goldungha blind orphanage lifetime scholarships for their education from the government of Nepal. His first short as a producer in 2014, "Godka cirka" premiered at Sundance and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. Later short, "La Gran Obra", 2024, produced with Alex Lora - won the 2024 Sundance Grand Jury Prize.

He was featured in the Marquis "Who's Who in America" 76th edition (2023) for his scientific and medical achievements towards the health and betterment of man.
