Arden was born in China, raised in London, and earned his BA in Film & TV in Los Angeles.
During his time at LMU, he was endowed with numerous awards.
To name a few: His sophomore year film, Soup, won his grade-level
award at Film Outside the Frame, 2011. Then from 2012-2014, he
received "Best Cinematography" nominations for different films, yearly.
His outstanding student work as a cinematographer earned him the
coveted "Ian Conner Cinematography Award" at LMU's film school
departmental awards (2013). And in 2014, he was a finalist for The "ASC Student Heritage Award". Soon after he was mentored under award winning Cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth, ASC and shadowed him on multiple commercials and hit film "Gone Girl".
Arden photographs feature films, commercials, music videos and branded
content, which include his first feature film, Starcrossed (2014), starring
Mischa Barton and Eric Roberts. His commercial clients include Pepsi, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, and Alibaba to name a few.
Most recently, Arden has returned to Los Angeles to amplify his career in Cinematography. At the same time, he also gravitate towards more directing roles in narrative films and series back in China.
