Dan (DJ) works as a stunt coordinator, fight choreographer, and action arranger; developing theatrical and filmic violence for productions, theatre, and educational bodies around the U.K. and Europe. DJ has worked on projects for the likes of BBC, Disney, Lyric Hammersmith, Amazon, Channel 4, Southwark Playhouse, ITV, Ealing Studios, The Marlowe Theatre, and many more - alongside teaching at such institutes as Drama Centre London (Central Saint Martins), East 15 Acting School, LMA London, and currently as the resident Stunt / Fight Coordinator and Action Specialist for the National Film and Television School (NFTS).
He has a background in a range of weapon systems along with Aikido and Krav Maga - as well as being a qualified Self Defence Instructor. Whilst choreographing and coordinating action sequences, DJ's focuses are performer safety and physical storytelling.
DJ also works as an intimacy coordinator; an associate practitioner with EK Intimacy after training with them on their two-year course and mentorship.
His background as an actor and stunt coordinator has given him a unique understanding and expertise as an IC, allowing him to utilise these skills whilst championing clear communication, choreographing intimate action, advocating for body autonomy, and artistic freedom & creativity through consent-based practice.
