Gus Bendinelli is a director of photography based in Los Angeles. His music video work has gained hundreds of millions of views and features artists like The Rolling Stones, Ariana Grande, Drake, Finneas, Doja Cat, Laufey, Michael Kiwanuka, and Hozier. He has shot major commercial campaigns for companies like Meta, Google, AAA, Nissan, MGM, Nike, and Old Navy, and was shortlisted for a best cinematography Clio for his work on a campaign with Unimatic. His narrative work has played at festivals around the world-his most recent feature film "Big Boys" won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at Outfest 2023, and is nominated for two Independent Spirit awards. He has photographed major talents including Bill Murray, Nicholas Hoult, Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Tracee Ellis Ross, Emily Deschanel, Dylan Minnette, and Steven Ogg.
Gus was born in Portland, Oregon and developed an early interest in photography before attending the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2011. After graduating in 2015 he began freelancing as a director of photography, and completed his first feature film "Flock of Four" in 2017. Gus is a member of the ICG Local 600 and is represented by CAA.
