Lara Vosburgh

Lara Vosburgh is a screen and stage actress and model, and graduate of the Atlantic Acting School (for which she received a full merit-based scholarship).

Lara is fluent in English, Hebrew and Arabic. Her credits include: Lead in IFC's feature film 'Inner Demons' (available on AMAZON), a series regular on a 45 episode International Drama, a recurring role in a sitcom, and several short films and commercials; A Syrian-Kurdish refugee (role in Arabic) in the play 'Undrown'd Seeking Assylum' at Connelly Theatre, NYC; Mr. Stimson, male alcoholic choir leader in 'Our Town'; Ann Deever in 'All My Sons'; and the Lead in Elaine May's dark comedy 'Hotline' in TLV. In addition, she writes and appears in comedic skits, volunteers with youth at risk and is an advocate of cultural diplomacy. In the summer of 2016, Vosburgh produced the new full-length play 'Mary V' inspired by Shakespeare's HENRY V and featuring a cast of 25. The play's premiere run in the Off-Broadway playhouse Theater for the New City attracted an audience of over 400 ticket buyers and received nods from Broadway World, Playbill & The New York Times.

Vosburgh's feature film debut, Seth Grossman's 'Inner Demons', in which she starred in the lead role, premiered at the 2014 LA Film Festival and was theatrically released by IFC. Her performance received rave reviews for mastering the complex and demanding role of a sixteen-year old girl, a former A-student fighting addiction. Vosburgh's breadth and skills are showcased in her superb portrayal of Carson's destructive and demonic possession pointing to an inquiry into the truth about her - a story straddling the disturbing intersection between insanity, addiction and true possession. 'Inner Demons' was digitally released on Amazon and NETFLIX and became the 2nd most streamed film during its first week on the platform.

Her first acting experience came at the age of sixteen, when music video director Shiri Shahar chose her for the lead role in a video. This music video led to numerous offers for Vosburgh to pursue an acting and modeling career, shooting catalogs, editorials and commercials in Europe and the Middle East.

In 2010, Vosburgh began taking acting classes with director and acting instructor Ram Nehari. After only three months of training, she landed a comedic recurring role on the second season of the multi-camera sitcom "Happily Residing Here". Vosburgh played Alex, an overbearing, over-the-top rude hormonal teenage girl. Vosburgh became a local star when she was cast as a regular in the 45 episode third season of the drama 'Split', directed by Oded Lotan. The drama was broadcast in many countries worldwide.

Vosburgh has a passion for comedy and musical improv, training and performing at the Magnet Theatre and the PIT in NYC, including regularly performing as part of such Sketch Comedy troupes as 'Your Father and I'. She also has a passion for Shakespearean plays, and was trained by RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) as part of their intensive workshops.

Vosburgh has a significant dance background, with experience in hip-hop, classical and modern ballet, flamenco, Bollywood, belly dancing and tap dance. She also has experience singing, having recorded a solo ballad as part of her role on the TV series 'Split'.

In recent years, Vosburgh has been actively pursuing Screenwriting, graduating from Brooklyn College's prestigious Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
