Dustin Knouse is an Actor, Writer, and Entertainer with nearly twenty
years of experience in the industry. He started in the entertainment
industry at the age of 8, when we attended an open audition for the
company Show Biz Kidz. Dustin stood in line for hours with a fever.
When his parents tried to convince him to go home and rest, he refused
as he wanted a chance to prove his dream could come true. Finally,
Dustin stood on stage in front of the crowd and gave his one line
"Nike, just do it," with pride and commitment.
Eight children were chosen to be represented that day. Only three of
them boys, and Dustin was one.
Dustin had made commercials and done extra work in films before he made
it to High School, where he attended the Las Vegas Academy for
performing arts as a theater major, with a minor in technical theater.
While attending the Las Vegas Academy, Dustin continued performing both
in and out of school. He was the first student to be cast in the City
of Henderson's Shakespeare Festival, as an ensemble member for 'A
Midsummer Night's Dream'. The following year Dustin was the first
student to ever be cast in a supporting role for the Shakespeare
festival, as he portrayed the comedic role of Grumio in 'Taming of the
Shrew'. As well as achieving these accomplishment in school Dustin was
part of the first cast of students on the west coast to perform the
Broadway hit 'Les Miserables'.
In high school Dustin not only continued his acting career, but also
studied music and discovered the world of circus arts. Dustin learned
clowning, juggling, magic, and fire eating and discovered a new type of
entertainment.
When Dustin graduated from high school, he decided to try something new
with his life. He ran off to join a circus for a season in Norway,
where he continued his circus studies in a more hands on environment.
This had led Dustin to performing in variety and television shows all
over the world.
Today Dustin continues to follow his dreams. Not only has he continued
his acting career (and begun to writer/produce his own sketch comedy
show) but he has also continued his career in the variety world.
Dustin can currently be seen performing at at Crazyhorse, Paris inside
the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. During the day Dustin can often be found
performing street shows and perfecting new material for crowds up close
and personal.
Dustin can also be seen in half a dozen films set to hit festivals this
year.
