Swetha Tripathi is an Indian actress predominantly working in Hindi films, television, and web series. She started her career as a production assistant and went on to act in movies and websites.
Tripathi spent her childhood in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and moved back to Delhi for her education. Since Tripathi's father works for the Indian Administrative Service, they had to travel a lot during her childhood. Her mother is a retired teacher.
She studied at Delhi Public School, RK Puram. She pursued a bachelor's degree in Fashion Communication from the National Institute of Fashion Technology.
Tripathi debuted on television with the Disney channel teen sitcom
Kya Mast Hai Life (2009). Tripathi debuted in films with
Trishna (2011). She also had a cameo in the television show
The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir (2012) in season 2, episode 44. She went on to act in the critically acclaimed film
Masaan (2015) as Shaalu Gupta, which brought her into the spotlight. She also won a Zee Cine Award for Best Supporting Actress for this role.
In 2016, she starred in the short film Love and
The Trip (2016), a web series on Bindass TV.
In 2018, she appeared in the short film
Beautiful World (2018) and the widely popular web series
Mirzapur (2018) on Amazon Prime as Gajgamini Gupta or Golu.
She also appeared in a couple of films in 2019, including
