Chico D. Mejia

Born and raised in Florida, with a creative stint in Texas, and now based in Philadelphia, Chico Mejia is a cinematographer and producer whose work spans visually-driven narrative films and bold branded content. His projects have been featured by clients such as Meta, Google, Dell, the Smithsonian, and major sports franchises including the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros.

In 2024, Mejia shot and produced The Four Daniels, an award-winning short film currently on the festival circuit. He also served as cinematographer on Basil King, a narrative pilot from Static Heart Productions, and wrapped production on Love's Long Shadow, a short from Dollars and Donuts. He is in development on his debut feature as director of photography.

Mejia's visual style blends grounded realism with striking cinematic flair, shaped by his background in fine arts and over a decade in the film industry. He is the founder of Hidden Gem, a production company dedicated to unearthing bold and unique stories.
