Biography

American actor Brett Wyman was born on January 7th, 1990 in Brockton, Massachusetts, and was raised in nearby Bridgewater, Massachusetts. His mother, Julie Wyman, is a fitness instructor, and his father, Peter Wyman, is a sales executive. Brett has a younger sister, Jill Wyman, and brother, Matt Wyman, who both work in commercial production. He is of mostly Irish, Lithuanian, Italian, and Dutch ancestry.

Wyman began acting on stage in John Kuntz' The Hotel Nepenthe at Brown University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and played linebacker on the Ivy-League champion football team. He received 1st team All-Ivy honors for his play during his senior season garnering attention from several NFL teams.

After graduating in 2012, Brett decided to pursue his acting career in Los Angeles where he made his television debut in Ben Watkin's Hand of God (2014) and film debut in the Farrelly Brother's Dumb and Dumber To (2014). He received acclaim for his role as the hated, Lee, in The Assault (2014) and lovable goof, Plymouth Rock, in the Black List screenplay Good Kids (2016). He went on to appear in supporting roles in independent features and guest spots such as Gotti (2018) and ABC's Castle (2009).

In 2016, a desire to return to the stage and deepen his craft led Brett to audition and enroll in the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts masters acting conservatory. There he developed and became known for his versatility, facility in dialects, and blue collar work ethic. In addition to his training he appeared in numerous productions including Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice, Macbeth, West Side Story, Maxim Gorky's A Children in the Sun, Rachel Bonds' Swimmers, and Will Eno's Gnit. He also originated the role of 'Sunny' in a workshop for the Critics' Pick and Off Broadway Alliance nomination for Best New Musical, Emojiland. After receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree in 2019, Brett relocated to Brooklyn, NY to continue his career and live closer to family.
