Reggie Benjamin is an international pop singer and media personality,
and has been one of the most popular celebrities in India for the past
several years. He has performed sold-out concerts to audiences in the
U.S. and around the world, and was the first Indian pop artist to ever
hit the Billboard charts.
Benjamin's first solo album, "2X-Centrix," was an immediate success and
put Benjamin at the forefront of the worldwide music scene. The first
hit single on the album, "Ride," debuted within the top three on the
charts in more than 30 countries, and in the U.S. at #4 on the
Billboard Breakout Dance Chart. The second single, "Hurry Up," hit the
top 5 dance charts in 24 countries within weeks of its release. Both
singles were produced by Grammy-nominated producers Maurice Joshua and
Eric Smoove. The "Hurry Up" music video was shot at the Playboy Mansion
and become one of the most viewed videos throughout the world.
In addition to performing, Benjamin is also a popular television
personality and has hosted dozens of music and entertainment shows on
networks including MTV, Oxygen, ITV, Zee Music, Sony TV and CTV. He is
currently the host of "LA-REG," a popular weekly show on YouTube. Also
a successful model, Benjamin has appeared in hundreds of magazines
around the world and modeled in fashion shows for designers including
Hugo Boss.
Benjamin was named the "Sexiest Indian Man In America" three years in a
row, as well as one of the top ten most influential Indians in America.
His popularity in the U.S. has been growing exponentially, with
Benjamin doing everything from singing the national anthem at Dodger
Stadium to appearing at clubs and venues in Los Angeles, Chicago and
New York.
Born in Toronto, Benjamin and his family moved to Chicago where he
spent his teenage years immersing himself in the city's music scene.
After graduating high school, Benjamin formed the band R.P.M. and
played in the hottest clubs and venues, launching his career in music
and entertainment.
