Jamie B. Chambers (born Ben Jamie Dowsett) is a British actor, stunt performer, producer, and presenter known for his strong character work and physical screen presence across film and television. His credits include major productions such as Fury (2014), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014), Taboo (2017), and Dark Angel (2016), alongside a wide range of independent and international projects.
Born in London and raised in Uxbridge and Hillingdon, Chambers began his professional career in football, playing as a goalkeeper at English Conference level before injuries forced him to step away from the game. He went on to work as an elite goalkeeper coach, holding positions with Queens Park Rangers, Watford, Arsenal, Brentford, and within the England national setup. He holds a UEFA Goalkeeper Coaching Licence and studied Sports Science at Brunel University London, specialising in biomechanics and international politics in sport.
Chambers transitioned into acting in 2011 after training in the Meisner technique at The Actors Temple in London. His first role saw him portray a heroin addict in an online youth awareness campaign, setting the tone for a career often centred on intense and character-driven performances. He went on to appear in a range of feature films, television series, and festival projects, balancing roles in large-scale productions with leading performances in independent cinema.
Alongside acting, Chambers has built a parallel career in stunt performance and action direction. A black belt in international PKA Kickboxing, with additional training in Krav Maga, Judo, and Escrima, he performs many of his own stunts and has worked extensively in screen combat, weapons handling, stunt driving, and motion capture. His stunt and action credits span productions such as One Shot (2021), The War of the Worlds (2019), Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands (2016), and An Action Hero (2022), with further work as an action director and stunt coordinator on both UK and international projects.
Chambers has also developed a producing career, working across independent films and television. His credits include Morris Men (2022) and Legends of the Lost (2018), and he served as UK drama producer and coordinator on The Beast, an upcoming feature starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Eddie Hall. His work often combines performance, action design, and production, reflecting a hands-on approach to filmmaking.
In 2016, Chambers sustained a serious spinal injury in a gym accident, resulting in a chronic pain disorder. Despite this, he has continued to work in physically demanding roles, maintaining an active career in both acting and stunt performance.
He cites actors such as Jason Statham and Gary Oldman as key influences, drawing inspiration from both physical storytelling and transformative character work.
