Mitzi Peirone is an award winning Italian film director and screenwriter, who at 26 became the first person to successfully fund a feature film with cryptocurrency; the picture "Braid" premiered with four sold out screenings at Tribeca Film Festival in the Midnight category, where it was acquired for world wide distribution. The film won Best Picture at the Lausanne Film festival, it was nominated for a Best First Feature at the Fangoria Awards, received a standing ovation at the Bucheon International Film Festival in South Korea and it was nominated for a best picture award at Sitges in the New Visions category. Peirone's style has been praised as masterful, mind bending and aesthetically daring.
