(Background)
Proudly from the Lone Star State of Texas, Edric Ray began his
entertainment career singing back in the mid 90's. He began
song-writing in high school and eventually taught himself to sing and
play the guitar. His first published song came about in 1995, when
Texas recording artist Mark Alan Sammons, recorded a song Edric Ray
co-wrote entitled "Good As Gold". This song would earn the honor of
being the title track to Sammons' debut album. Edric Ray would go on to
include his version of the song in his live show. He began by
performing in many of the Southern states to include places like Texas,
New Mexico, Oklahoma, Nevada, and Tennessee.
He continued his country music performances on the road, performing on
both television and radio. One of Edric Ray's career highlights
includes a performance at the Original Grand Ole Opry at the historical
Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
He has shared the stage and crossed paths with many fellow country
performers like ACM Award winning group Ricochet and country music
legends like Juice Newton. He has had the honor of being of the company
of many other fellow artists like Rhett Akins, Rick Trevino, Billy
Dean, Darryl Worley, Michael Peterson, Sherrie' Austin and Lila McCann,
just to name a handful. He has even performed with members of George
Strait's "Ace In The Hole" band.
Acting, however, has always been in the humble but hungry blood within
Edric Ray. Before acting in TV/Film, Edric Ray began acting in the theatre. His first role on stage was as the lead in
Neil Simon's "Fools" as "Leon Tolchinsky". Edric Ray was up to the
challenge and impressed directors and audiences alike as a natural. He
would go on to play many leading and supporting roles such as "Pippin"
in "Pippin", "Motel" in "Fiddler on The Roof", "Will" in "Oklahoma!",
and more recently "Danny" in "Grease" where a sold out audience
demanded an extended 23 show run.

charities to include Susan G. Komen, Special Olympics, St. Jude's
