Biography

Al LaFleur is a SAG-AFTRA actor with over 40 film, television, and stage credits. After walking out of a graduate school program and spontaneously auditioning for The Mousetrap that same night, he landed the lead role of Detective Sergeant Trotter - his first return to the stage since childhood productions of Annie and Peter Pan. That breakout moment led to standout performances as Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire and Dallas Winston in The Outsiders, kickstarting a committed and quietly prolific acting career.

Al is best known for playing Billy Clanton on Wild West Chronicles (INSP TV) and Khan in A Grunt's Life (VetTV). He recently appeared as Officer Williams in the psychological thriller The Night Passenger, which premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre. He leads the upcoming dystopian feature The Pipes, and most recently stars in the crime drama Speakeasy, opposite Carlo Mendez and Alex Veadov.

Additional credits include With This Ring (Lifetime, dir. Nzingha Stewart), Lust (dir. Darren Lynn Bousman), and The Society: Endangered Species (dir. Max Landis). He has also been called back for major projects by directors such as Gabriele Muccino and Steven Soderbergh.

Al has trained with Robert Carnegie at Playhouse West, as well as with Margie Haber, Anthony Meindl, David Rountree, and celebrity coach Jonathan Stanley - though he still credits the theater as his greatest teacher. His most recent stage appearance was a four-week Los Angeles run in the West Coast premiere of the original play Slice, alongside veteran actor Tom Simmons (Mank, American Crime Story).

Originally from near Cleveland, Ohio, Al brings a grounded Midwestern presence to every role. Now based in Los Angeles, he continues to act, write, and produce through his creative studio, Area 59 Films. Off-camera, he's a die-hard Browns fan, an avid poker player, and a storyteller at heart.
