Raised in a Italian-American family, Michela was destined to be a multi-hyphenate. Michela got her start directing comedy shorts for Adult Swim, Above Average, and Funny or Die. Nowadays, she brings her comedy to the commercial world, directing for clients like Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Google, and more.
In 2024, she directed The Fenty Beauty + Skin Experience for Rihanna's beauty brand, which won The Webby Award for Best Brand Integration. In 2023, she directed Netflix's Stranger Things Immersive Watch Party, which was nominated for the Primetime Emmy in Outstanding Innovation in Emerging Media Programming, and for The Producer's Guild Innovation Award.
Of all her work, Michela most proud of Heirloom, a film about her Italian-American family that starred Isabella Rossellini. Heirloom was a recipient of a The Russo Brothers' Italian American Film Forum grant.
Michela is also proud to be a member of the directing roster at CRY, a compelling commercial production company based in Brooklyn, NY.
