Sofia Carson

Sofia Carson is an award-winning actor, singer, and producer who has forged a singular and esteemed path in film, television, music and philanthropy. Globally acclaimed for her role in the Netflix phenomenon "Purple Hearts," Sofia also served as Executive Producer and co-wrote and performed the film's original soundtrack. Building on this success, Sofia starred in the Netflix thriller "Carry-On," from Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, alongside Taron Egerton, Jason Bateman and Danielle Deadwyler. Both "Purple Hearts" and "Carry-On" debuted at #1 on the weekly Global Top 10 Films list before going on to earn spots on the prestigious list. Most recently, Carson starred in the beloved film "The Life List," which debuted at #1 and remained on Netflix's Global Top 10 for four consecutive weeks. Her latest project, the romantic drama "My Oxford Year," which she also executive produced, premiered August 1, 2025, and became another runaway success-hitting #1 globally, topping the charts in 73 countries, and ranking in the Top 10 in 93 countries. Her previous credits include Michael Bay's "Songbird," Netflix's "Feel the Beat," "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists," and Disney's global phenomenon "Descendants."

In her music career, Sofia is a multi-platinum, award-winning songwriter, and singer. Her song "Applause", written by the legendary Diane Warren, was nominated for an Academy Award at the 2023 Oscar's. Last year, she joined legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli on his latest album Duets - 30th Anniversary. Sofia performs the iconic "Moon River," the Academy Award and Grammy Award winning classic originally performed by Audrey Hepburn in the film Breakfast at Tiffany's. Sofia is also featured in the accompanying concert film. Continuing her rise on the global stage, Sofia collaborated with BTS star Jimin on the highly praised duet "Slow Dance" from his sophomore solo album, Muse. As a UNICEF Ambassador, Sofia has dedicated her voice to engaging youth across the world to relentlessly pursue an equitable world for every child through the undeniable power of education. She has traveled to visit UNICEF programming in Brazil and Tanzania, where she advocated for the protection of women and girls' rights. In 2022, Carson spoke at Capitol Hill with UNICEF in support of the Keeping Girls in School Act. In 2023, she spoke at the United Nations alongside his excellency Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the International Day to Protect Education from Attack and she was honored by the United Nations Correspondents Association as Global Advocate of the Year.
