Courtney Shaw

Courtney Shaw is a classically trained actress, singer, and voice actor. She was born and raised in the city of New Britain, Connecticut and began acting in professional regional theater in Connecticut as a child. She attended four years of theater study at the magnet arts high school The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, and later completed the conservatory program at Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York.

She is a member of Animus Theatre Company, along with film actors Matthew Lillard, Pamela Adlon, Paul Schneider, and Tony and Oscar nominated playwright / screenwriter Beth Henley. With Animus she co-produced several play reading series featuring Broadway and Hollywood film actors and directors at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre, where she acted opposite Alexis Bledel under the direction of film and television director / screenwriter / producer Leslye Headland in Headland's play The Accidental Blonde. Courtney later starred in the New York premiere of Leslye Headland's one-woman show Surfer Girl, and has performed in plays and musicals at prominent Off-Broadway theaters throughout New York.

Courtney works extensively as a voice actor and is best known for voicing the roles of Stella in Winx Club: The Magic is Back, Chiropmon and Hitomi in Digimon Beatbreak, Sasha in the award-winning series Mermaid Magic, Whirl in Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy, June Bug in the Emmy nominated animated short form program Count On June Bug, Shadowtrix in Nickelodeon's Star Trek Scouts, Cheese in Bread Barbershop, and Gretel in the Netflix film Secret Magic Control Agency. Courtney's work as an audiobook narrator has garnered many positive reviews, most notably her narration of the popular Seven Seas light novel series I'm in Love with the Villainess and Toradora!. Courtney plays Flip in the acclaimed children's musical podcast Flip and Mozi- a scripted series by Tinkercast focusing on animal conservation with original songs by Grammy nominated children's composers The Popups.
