Jason Spafford wrote, directed and produced the independent film, "Butler Minnesota" in the late 1990s. He continues to create digital content. In 2020 he directed music videos for acoustic versions of songs by the band, Turn Turn Turn. He produced and directed two biographies - JFK (2013) and Ronald Reagan (2014). Other productions range from art installation films, web series to educational content.
He grew up in northern Wisconsin near the town of Rhinelander, WI (Home of the Hodag).
Attended the UW Madison-Wisconsin where he produced one of the first independent features by a sole student, shot entirely on video. Later he moved to Minneapolis, MN.
While producing and directing he also has been involved in several start-up companies. One of note, was a DVD production and menu design company started in 1999, at the onset of the DVD. The business was sold in 2007.
He currently resides in Minneapolis.
