Biography

Erin Bernhardt is the Director of Common Pictures, the impact media arm of The Edward E. Haddock, Jr. Family Foundation.

Common Pictures amplifies stories that humanize, inspire and heal our broken world. We aim to spark the moral imagination by understanding the world as it is and pausing to consider how it might be. The impact media projects we create and support affirm social justice, environmental stewardship and the dignity of our shared humanity. They dismiss polarization, motivate audiences with hope, and instigate restorative work.

We focus our resources in three areas: Healing of Racial Trauma in America Eco-Restoration Mutual Flourishing for Israelis and Palestinians

Prior to Common Pictures, Erin produced and directed Refuge, an Academy Award-qualified documentary Executive Produced by Katie Couric, following a leader in a white nationalist hate group who finds healing from the people he once hated - a Muslim heart doctor and his town of refugees.

She also produced Imba Means Sing, a film about the Grammy-nominated African Children's Choir that was picked up by Netflix. Both films also streamed as highlighted documentaries on Delta Airlines worldwide.
