Biography

-After completing his master's degree at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal (Canada), Yannick Chênevert graduated with great distinction in 1999. In addition to teaching at the Cégep de Saint-Laurent, he also teaches double bass at the Université de Montréal. Equally at home in classical and modern music, this versatile musician is a supernumerary with major ensembles and orchestras in the greater Montreal region, including the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain and Les Violons du Roy. He has been a member of Nouvel Ensemble Moderne since January 2000, and of the string ensemble I Musici since April 2012.
