Biography

Penelope Lawson is a director, writer, and producer based out of Los Angeles, California and New York, New York. She attended the prestigious Graduate Film Program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she received her MFA in film directing. She received her BA from Fordham University, where she was a Communications/Media and Visual Arts double major, both with a film concentration. She directed, wrote, and produced the films Wilde Eastern, (an official selection of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival), and 1 Night in San Diego, starring Jenna Ushkowitz, Laura Ashley Samuels, Alexandra Daddario, Kelsey Douglas, Adam Rose, and Eric Nelsen. She is the founder of Pink Revolver Pictures. In her work she strives to make female positive, empowering, comedic films that anyone can enjoy.
