Biography

J. Antonio is a filmmaker from Jamaica, Queens. While attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice, he made two short films ("A Dizzy Affair" and "Exits") which were praised by many of his peers. Upon graduating, he made a music video for the song "Hitchcock Blonde" by Laeticia De Valer. He then decided to make a feature film. He worked as a production assistant on James Lapine's Custody starring Viola Davis, Hayden Panettiere, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. After completing his service for the film, he went to work on his first feature film Night Job. While pursuing his lifelong dream, Antonio worked as an overnight doorman in a luxury apartment building located in Hell's Kitchen Manhattan. Antonio found his inspiration for Night Job at a union meeting, and was convinced that it had to be his first movie, when a resident confronted the other in the lobby over a noise complaint. J. Antonio is the founder of Sacred9films.
