Marisa Duran is a voice actor based in Dallas, Texas and Pasadena, CA. At the age of eight, Marisa began performing with professional theatre companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Her passion for theatre later led her to venture into the world of television and film. She has had leading roles in multiple short films and starred as Annie Burke in the indie thriller short film "Crude Massacre," a role which earned her a Best Actress win and multiple Best Actress nominations at film festivals across the country.
Marisa started working as a voice actor at FUNimation/Crunchyroll in 2015 and landed her first lead role in 2021 as Kyoko Hori in the English dub of "Horimiya". She has since lent her voice to more than 100 anime titles, voicing lead roles in "Horimiya", "Hell's Paradise", "Frieren", "Remake Our Life", "Aoashi", and "The Ossan Newbie Adventurer...", among others. Marisa received a 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards nomination for Best Voice Actor (English) for her work as Sagiri in "Hell's Paradise." In the video-game world, Marisa most recently voiced Hanekawa in NetMarble's "Solo Leveling: Arise", Hel in Maximum Entertainment's "Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age", Ayka in BlindCoco Studio's "Gales of Nayeli.", Florence in Moonton Games' "Mobile Legends: Adventure", and Fifi in Crimson Tales' "Onirism". She also voices the main character Aina in the upcoming visual novel "Salvus: Aries."
Marisa received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Texas Christian University in 2016. She has studied on-camera acting under Glenn Morshower and continues to train with various teachers for voiceover, film, and theatre.
