Davíð Már Stefánsson is an Icelandic screenwriter who was born in Sweden. He wrote his first series KATLA for Netflix in 2021, followed by TRAPPED which is set to debut on Netflix in 2022.
Starting his career as a journalist in Reykjavik before pursuing his B.A. in Philosophy and Creative Writing from the University of Iceland, Stefánsson later moved to New York City and graduated with honors from Columbia University with an M.F.A. in Screenwriting.
A Leifur Eiríksson Fellow and the Television Academy's Drama Intern of 2017, Stefánsson's shorts have also been recognized and screened at film festivals all over the world.
