María Andrea Otero

Maria Andrea Otero a.k.a Mandy was born in the industrial epicenter of Mexico, Monterrey. Growing up, she took a particular interest in languages and arts, this has led her to live in Canada, the USA, and Mexico and speak four languages. It was through her love of the arts that she discovered she could change the world through media.

Mandy dropped out of college and decided to pursue her dreams, wherever it led her. She got a screenwriting scholarship to attend film school but decided to move to NYC instead. There she developed a web series called that explored female friendship and sexuality.

In 2019, Mandy returned to Mexico and started writing about her life in a series called "Bad Luck Mandy" that tackled her battle against depression. in 2021 she collaborated with Pantaya in the development of a series. She has also worked with Propagate Content making an American adaptation of a foreign drama series. That same year she wrote and developed a crime mystery series for 78 Films . Mandy is writing a family comedy script for Irreversible Pictures, writing an animated movie based on "Mi Hermano Luca" a children's book about autism and writing a travel reality show with Kerosén Producciones.
