Did you know
• Later episodes were made in colour due to a request from the U.S. television network that was screening the show and wanted colour content to broadcast. This makes The Adventures of Sir Lancelot the first British made programme to be made and broadcast in colour (Zoo Quest preceded it as location filming was done in colour but the show was never broadcast in colour).
• The company responsible for Sir Lancelot also made The Adventures of Robin Hood and so some of the sets and exterior shots can be seen in both productions.
• Two episodes (Knight Errant/Ugly Duckling) were thought to have been shot in Technicolor as part of the colour experiments. TV engineers learned that Technicolor did not look very good on primitive TV technology, and consequently, for many years after Technicolor movies were supplied as Eastman prints for TV. The Technicolor versions of these shows are believed to be lost.
