The radio announcement during the BBQ dinner scene was made through a Zenith Trans-Oceanic 600 Series Portable Radio. These radios were known for their heavy-duty, high-quality construction and their performance as shortwave receivers.

Per an article in the 19 September 1956 edition of Variety, the Production Code Office rejected portraying details of the crime of arson but was okay with the dynamite bombing instead.

Most all the vehicles seen in the film are Chrysler Corporation cars. Rory Calhoun drives a 1956 Chrysler, James Gregory drives a 1956 Desoto, the police car is a 1956 Plymouth, and the older vehicles include a 1948 Dodge, among others.
