• According to Robert Vaughn in his memoirs, "A Fortunate Life", Timothy Carey, who played an abortionist, arrived on the set with a black medical bag from which he took several nasty looking tools, such as knives and hammers, which he intended to use during his scene. .However, director Walter Doniger threatened to fire Carey if he attempted to use them, so they remained in the bag.
