
The Ninth Circle
In order to save a Jewish girl from the Nazis and their colaborators, a Croatian family arranges her to be wed to their young son. The son is displeased with sudden end to his careless youth and he doesn't seem to like the girl or the whole idea. However, when she gets caught in a street raid, it is too late - he must face the fact that he loves her. The man starts looking for her, even if it means that he would go to the very center of concentration camp - the Ninth Circle.

• The exterior of the building where the Vojnovic' family lives is that of 30 Radiceva Street in Zagreb. Their apartment's balcony is overlooking the building's inner courtyard.
• When escaping from the Vojnovic house into a dark night, Ruth descends the Male Stube stairs to Kozarska Street, then runs to Ratkajev prolaz, where she's almost caught by the Gestapo car. While Ivo is returning home, in the attempt to find her, we can hear the church bells ring, and behind him we see the church of St. Martin's on Vlaska Street, Zagreb.
• The film was voted the 18th best Croatian film by Croatian film critics in the article in Slobodna Dalmacija on the 28th November 1999.
