Did you know
• This is the first Italian horror film to be made in color.
• Though the credits state that the film is based on a short story by Pieter van Weigen (from the book Flemish Tales), no such author exists.
• The models made by Gregorius for his carousel are never identified, and change order on each appearance. They seem to include Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, and Salome with the head of John the Baptist. There is also a Victorian poisoner, an Elizabethan woman, and figures at the execution block, on the gallows, and tied to a pillory.
