Did you know

• John Mills wrote in his biography that he signed onto the TV series to pay off an enormous amount of tax he had incurred from the inland Revenue. The CBS contract scared him as he would have to commit to five years to the series if it were optioned and move to the United States. After five episodes were completed the writer-producer had a disagreement with CBS and quit the series, resulting in a deterioration of the quality of the remaining eight episodes and the show's cancelation. Mills was delighted and returned to England.
