Did you know

Actor Yoshio Tsuchiya's character is his own actual ancestor, Matsuo Tsuchiya.

The English title is "Kill!" while the transliterated Japanese title is "Kiru". The English title is not an exact translation of kiru, which means "to cut" in the sense of "to slay" or "to assassinate". The word "kiru" bears no etymological relationship to the word "ikiru"-- "to live"-- which is the title of a 1952 Japanese film.

This film is part of the Criterion Collection, spine #313.
